Irritated and annoyed by the inaction of the authorities on the issue of his son’s fees, a Dalit man, Dashrath Suryavanshi, finally managed to get the attention of the District Magistrate at Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh, by dancing in front of his desk in office.
Suryavanshi said he could not afford to pay the Rs 27,000 FEE, a private school was asking as admission fees and went to the district officials for help.
He was upset that his son had been denied admission under Right to Education. After all his effort to get his son into a school failed, he resorted to the unusual protest.
While the Collector was addressing a public hearing in Mandsaur, the Dalit man started dancing in front of everyone to attract the Collector’s attention towards his problem.

Embarrassed by his act, the collector, reportedly, assured him that his son will get the benefits he is entitled under the RTE Act.
