Watch: US Coast Guard Leaps Onto “Narco Submarine” Carrying Cocaine Worth $232 Million

Earlier this week, the Coast Guard of the United States of America released a dramatic video that showed one of its service members leaping onto a “Narco Sub” that was carrying nearly 17 thousand lbs of cocaine that has a market value of $232 million.

In the video that was released by the US Coast Guard, a member of the team was seen yelling at a “narco sub” that was moving alongside the cutter at the surface of the Eastern Pacific Ocean.

One of the members of the US Coast Guard Cutter Munro was seen jumping on the sub as it was moving and opened the hatch.

The video that was shared by the US coast guard is about 1 minute long and shows a person coming out of the narco sub.

The US Coast Guard said that the narco sub had 17,000 pounds of cocaine inside it and was carrying 5 smugglers.

Narco Subs, are self-propelled submersible ships that are being used by drug cartels and traffickers to smuggle all sorts of drugs.

The operation happened on June 18 and intercepted one of the 14 drug-smuggling vessels off the coasts of Mexico and South America.

Between May and June 2019, authorities have seized a total of 933 pounds of Marijuana and 39,000 pounds of Cocaine, which has a street value of $569 million USD.

Mike Pence, the Vice President of the United States of America, was also present when the members of the US Coast Guard unloaded the drugs that were seized in the one-month-long operation.

The operation will prosecute 55 drug smugglers.

On Thursday, Mike Pence said, “Make no mistake about it, Coasties, your courageous service is saving American lives.”

The US Coast Guard said that some of the 55 drug smugglers will be transferred to Federal Authorities and others will be prosecuted in their home countries.
