No matter how long it takes, the stories around the new currency note are still fascinating us. Many people were ridiculed looking at the strange and brand new kind of looks of the new Rs 500 and Rs 2000 notes. Now that we all knew who is the person behind this idea of Demonization, we must also be aware of the one who designed this weird currency note.

Coming to the facts, the currency printing press in Mysuru played a key role in designing and printing of the new Rs 2000 denomination note. As per the official sources from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the new Rs 2000 notes were printed by RBI owned Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited (BRBNMPL), the press was asked to design the Rs 2000 currency note about six months ago and the printing started in September.

The latest updates from the former Karnataka Minister S A Ramadas who also is the honorary president of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) owned Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited (BRBNMPL) employees union revealed some surprising things post the currency’s entry.

As per the sources, it is believed that the employees and the union leaders knew that the Centre was going to do something “historic” with the new currency so they tried everything in their possession to keep quiet about the matter.

In order to face the tough situation in future regarding the demand of the notes, the employees worked non-stop for six days a week striving their best to fulfill the demand for huge quantity of new currency notes which could replace the gigantic Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.

Ramadas denied some media reports that new notes were airlifted from Mysuru airport. As per him. the newly-minted notes were transferred in heavily guarded goods trains from Mysuru to Bengaluru RBI office. From there it was sent to different parts of India.
