A pregnant 13-year-old girl committed suicide by jumping off the roof of a block after she was gang-raped by 6 men and being held captive.
The 13-year-old girl, whose real identity was not shared with the public, jumped from a block of flats to her death in Bangkok, Thailand.
Pinkie, the nickname of the girl, committed suicide on 18 November 2019.
The girl also said that she took a picture of her legs dangling from the roof and then sent it to a friend with a message reading “I’m about to go, I love you.”
Local news agencies reported that the 13-year-old girl also wrote a series of posts on Facebook.
One post said:
I’m about to go’ and ‘If I wasn’t pregnant, I would have gone a long time ago’.
The 45-year-old mother of the girl reported the sexual attack on her daughter and told the police that 6 men held her daughter captive in a flat and raped her on the evening of November 11, 2020.
The rape sent her daughter into a deep depression, said the mother of the girl.
The police said that they had identified 2 suspects and arrested one of them after a raid on his house.
Authorities also found an unregistered firearm.
Krissana, a member of the Royal Thai Police, released a statement about the incident, where she said:
Both suspects face charges for collaborating to sexually abuse the girl. There were two girls, two boys on the night of the incident. One of the girls, Pinkie, is dead. Warrants have been issued for both boys.
It is claimed that the 13-year-old girl had argued with her mother just before her suicide and that she ran after the teen and attempted to stop her.
