A 21-year-old man is currently fighting for his life after he was attacked with a machete and was blasted with a shotgun at a point-blank range.
The police were called to the Harris Avenue, in Cardiff, Wales, at 3.25 pm on April 13, 2020.
The man was found with life-changing injuries while was lying in the street.
The man, whose identity was not shared with the public, is from Tremorfa, Cardiff.
He is currently in a stable condition and is admitted to the University Hospital of Wales.
Detectives are currently treating the attack as attempted murder.
The police said the incident happened outside a row of shops.
The suspects fled in a stolen black Audi A3 with distinctive silver window trim.
The 2 men that were involved in the incident were wearing hooded clothing and had covered their faces.
The motive remains under investigation.
Stuart Wales, the Acting Detective Chief Inspector, released a statement about the incident:
“This level of violence is extremely rare in South Wales. A dedicated team of detectives are working on the investigation to identify and arrest those responsible. We are appealing for information on the identity of two men we believe are responsible, and also for sightings of a black Audi A3 S-Line car which has a distinctive silver trim around the windows. We are working hard to identify those responsible for this extremely serious incident and we ask the community to please be our eyes and ears and report any information.”
Detectives are currently asking residents of the area who saw the crime to come up.
