A 34-year-old woman has been arrested for dismembering her husband after she was walking through the streets with his body parts and decapitated head.
Veronica Rivera Montegrande was seen walking on the streets with a large bloody fabric bag, which contained the remains of 70-year-old Jorge Ramos.
According to reports, the incident happened in Santiago Cuauhtenco, Amecameca, the central Mexican state of Mexico.
The woman was spotted strolling the streets at around 11:30 pm on 27th July 2020, before the victim’s daughter stopped her in the street.
Witnesses claim that the woman tried to flee the scene and dropped one of the bags in the process.
She then revealed the head of the 70-year-old victim.
Locals claimed that they recognized the deceased man.
Neighbors then tried to lynch the woman before the police intervened.
One of the bags is said to have contained the decapitated head, while the other parts were inside a bag.
It has been alleged that the deceased and the woman came into a heated row.
The woman then took a machete and a knife, hacking the man into pieces.
After the attack, the woman was spotted shouting incoherent sentences on the street.
It is also unclear if the woman was under the influence of drugs.
The police were called to the scene and apprehended Montegrande.
She was then taken to the Valentin Gomez Farias General Hospital in the municipality of Zentlalpan for treatment.
The woman was thrashed by an angry mob.
She is currently getting treatment at the Valentin Gomez Farias General Hospital for the injuries that she sustained.
The police have launched an investigation for the death of Veronica’s husband.
No charges have been made in connection with the alleged attack.
