Border Security Force made a notification public according to which, recruitment is to be conducted on All India basis for the posts of Sub Inspector (Works) Group-‘B’, Non-Gazetted, Non Ministerial, Engineering (Civil) (Combatised). Interested candidates must check out the eligibility requirements first. A total of 103 vacancies are to be filled as per the merit which would be prepared on the basis of written examination followed by document verification, Physical Standards Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Practical Test & Medical Examination.

The forms can be submitted to the centres within 30 days of the publication of advertisement in the Employment news and within 45 days for the candidates belonging to far flung areas. Candidates need to provide Aadhar Number in the application and if does not possessing the same, then other options are Driving Licence, University ID, Voter ID, PAN Card Number etc. Applicants need to wrap a photocopy of Aadhar Card or other identity cards with the application form.
Examination Fee: applicants need to attach a demand draft/ IPO of Rs. 200/- as examination fee in the case of male General/ OBC candidates.
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualifications: the applicant must possess three year diploma in Civil Engineering from an institute recognised by the Central Government of State Government.
Age Limit: Applicant should not exceed the maximum age limit of 30 years as on the closing date of receipt of application. For SC/ ST candidates, the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years while three years for OBC candidates. Check out the notification to get detailed age relaxation information.
The written examination is divided into two papers: First Paper:-
- It will be an objective type paper (Consists of multiple choice questions). 25 questions from General Intelligence & reasoning, 25 questions from General Awareness and 50 questions from General Engineering (Civil) would be given in the question paper. Each question carries one mark. 1 hour and 30 minutes will be given to candidates to complete the test.
- The second paper will be conventional type in which, questions would be asked from General Engineering (Civil). 10 questions would be there of 100 marks (10 marks for each question). Time duration: 2 hours. Note: Out of 12 questions, candidates will have to attempt 10 questions.
