Now, as the posts of Senior Technical Assistant/ Senior Scientific Assistant and Technical Assistant/ Scientific Assistant are void, the institute has invited applications for the vacant posts which must be submitted (by the eligible candidates only) before 05:30 PM on 27th August.

As the application procedure is live, contenders can download the form from the official website of the institute that is www.iitism.ac.in. After downloading the form, applicants must enter all the details carefully in it. A mistake can lead to rejection of the application form.

After making all the entries, candidates need to submit the form to Deputy Registrar (Estt.), Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, Dhanbad – 826 004 (Jharkhand).

Application Fee: Total Rs. 100/- is to be sent by the crossed demand draft drawn in the favour of “Registrar, IIT(ISM), Dhanbad” payable at Dhanbad. Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PH category are exempted from the fee payment.

Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 50 years as on the last date of submission of application forms. Reservation will be as per the rules of norms as per Government of India.

Selection Procedure:

For the Senior Technical Assistant/Senior Scientific Assistant Posts: Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of three levels – written test & computer tests, practical-cum-aptitude test and then the interview. the minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the committee as per the requirements. To be selected, candidates need to score more than qualifying marks. Those who qualify written & computer test will be shortlisted for the practical-cum-aptitude test. And those, who qualify this second stage will be eligible to appear for the interview. Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in the written & computer tests and interview with the weightage of 75% and 25%.

Technical Assistant/Scientific Assistant: The practical trade test & computer test will be held first and those who qualify this test will be selected for the next level of written examination. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in the written test.
