SSC Constable GD Recruitment 2018: Online Applications Commenced

Staff Selection Commission has flagged off the application process on 17th August. Notification for the recruitment was unveiled by the Commission on 21st July and the applications were commenced on 25th July but the process was stopped due to very heavy load on the website. All the eligible and interested candidates can register themselves from 10 AM, 17th August. But, application forms must be submitted before 17th September 05:00 PM.

An open examination would be conducted for recruitment to the posts of Constable (General Duty) in BSF (Border Security Force), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Sashastra Seema Bal, National Investigation Agency (NIA), Indo Tibetan Border Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman in Assam Rifles.

Online applications can be submitted through www.ssconline.nic.in. Candidates can apply online through www.ssc.nic.in as well. At first, they need to log in if an existing user or click on “Register Now” if new applicant. For registration, candidates need to enter required details correctly. Then, select the apply section. Then, Select Constable GD and press “Apply” Button.

Vacancies advertised for NIA and SSF are to be filled on All India basis whereas vacancies in remaining departments would be filled as per the posts available in various states/ UTs.

Application Fee:- applicants need to pay Rs. 100/-. The fee can be paid through SBI Challan/ SBI Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard or Maestro Credit or Debit Card. Women, Ex-Servicemen candidates and those belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe are excluded from the fee payment.

According to the selection procedure, a Computer Based Examination will be organised first. Those candidates who qualify this test will have to appear for Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Detailed Medical Examination/ Review Medical Examination which are to be scheduled and conducted by the CAPFs.

Document verification of all the qualified candidates would be carried out at the time of details Medical Examination by the CAPFs. Aspirants must bring all the necessary documents. Admit card for the examination will not be sent by post.
