West Bengal Postal Circle Recruitment 2018: 203 MTS Posts

West Bengal Postal Circle affirmed for the recruitment of Multi-tasking Staff on 21st August. A notification was published online notifying for a competitive examination that is to be held for the filling up vacancies as per the MTS recruitment rules 2015-Reg. 25% vacancies would be filled up by direct recruitment on the basis of competitive examination restricted to the GDS (Gramin Dak Sewaks) of the Division/ Unit. West Bengal Postal Circle recruitment 2018 exam would be conducted on 30th September 2018.

Note: No examination will be arranged for filling up 25 percent quota vacancies for deputation to APS as per Directorate’s instruction.

Age Limit: GDS candidates’ age shall not be more than 50 years as on the 1st day of April 2018. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST candidates while 3 years for OBC candidates. Relaxations are applicable only against the respective reserved quota of vacancies.

Important to note: GDS candidates who joined the service on or after 1st April 2018 are not eligible to appear for the West Bengal Postal Circle recruitment 2018.

WB Post Circle Application Form 2018

Application form can be submitted using the offline mode and the applicant must paste a passport size photograph on the form. And, must encase a similar photograph along with it for further proceedings. Female candidates, SC/ ST/ PH category candidates are exempted from the fee payment. While the remaining applicants have to pay Rs. 5/- as examination and the receipt must be wrapped off along with the application form.

All the candidates have to submit their applications before 7th September. The Unit Heads/ Divisional Heads will review all the forms and analyse whether all candidates are satisfying all the eligibility terms or not. A list of eligible candidates would be issued on or before 11th September through both offline and online mode (through Gmail address). Hall permits holding the address of venue would be provided from 14th September by the officials.

The examination would consist of four sections – Part A – General Knowledge, Part B – Mathematics, Part C (i) – English and (ii) Regional Language. Part A and B are comprised of 25 questions each while part C comprises 50 questions.
