Kannur University first allotment results are likely to be declared this week or today i.e; 13th June 2017. A huge number of candidates who are looking for the UG admissions applied for the CAP 2017. The admissions into UG degree programs are regulated on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination – Plus Two/ Higher Secondary level. Earlier, the university has published the trial allotment results on 3rd June so that students have already got an idea about the chances of getting allotment to their preferred college and programme.

Kannur University Degree First Allotment Results 2017:
Kannur University was established in 1996 to provide development of higher education in Kasaragod, Kannur, and Wayanad districts of Kerala, India. It was established after the passing of Act No. 22 of 1996 of the Kerala Legislative Assembly. A university by the name of “Malabar University” had come into existence even earlier by the passing of an ordinance by the Governor of Kerala, on 9 November 1995.
Every year it released notification for the admissions into UG degree prorams through Kannur University Centralised Allotment Process (CAP 2017). Candidates who had applied can check the first allotment results from the official website.
Kannur University Degree 1st Allotment Results 2017:
Kannur University is holding CAP 2017 for admissions to the degree programs under Choice Based Credit and Semester (CBCS) system in the Government/ Aided/ Self-financing colleges affiliated to Kannur University for the academic year 2017-18. The UG Degree seats available in the Government/ Aided/ Self-financing affiliated colleges are mainly classified as Merit Seats, Community Seats, Management Seats and Reservation Seats.
The allotment will be based on merit list of the students. However, merit, marks will be awarded for extracurricular activities like sports, NCC, NSS etc. These marks will be added to the marks obtained in the qualifying examination for preparing the rank list.
Kannur University UG First Allotment Results 2017:
The seats in the government colleges are filled category wise. For Open quota (on the basis of merit) – 50%, For Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) – 20%, For Economically Backward among Forward Communities – 10% and for SC – 15% & ST – 5%.
Candidates who had not satisfied with the first allotment results can apply for the second allotment.
All the candidates who are selected through Kannur University First Allotment list will have to report before the Principal/ Head of the College/ Institution concerned for admission within prescribed dates with the following documents:
- Print out of completed online application generated by the Candidate.
- Printout of Transaction ID (Registration Fee)
- Allotment Memo
- Printout of Transaction ID (University Fees)
- Original mark list of the qualifying examination
- Certificate to prove date of birth
- TC from the Institution last attended
- Course & Conduct Certificate
- Original Community Certificate/BPL Certificate
- Income certificate in the case of OEC candidates
- Non-creamy layer certificate in the case of SEBC candidates.
- Original certificates to prove the claim for grace marks, if any.
- Eligibility certificate from the University of Kannur in case of candidates who have passed qualifying examination other than HSE/ VHSE conducted by Government of Kerala or the examination conducted by CBSE and CISCE.
- Any other relevant certificate for any claim made in the application
