China is Planning To Leave NASA Behind with Super-Powerful Rocket

While the world knows how advance NASA is, it’s not always ahead in many things. Like compared to India, NASA spent way too much on Mars mission as well as it cost more to send a satellite from NASA than to send it through ISRO. Now after ISRO China is all prepared to leave NASA behind by building a super rocket and a reusable space rocket.

Details about the super rocket China is building.

TV and Earth observation satellites fly in low-Earth orbit. By 2030, the Long March-9 rocket under development will be able to carry 140 tonnes into low-Earth orbit. This was told by said Long Lehao, a senior official from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, according to the official Xinhua news agency.

Comparing this to current 20 tonnes delivery capacity of Europe’s Ariane 5 rocket or the 64 tonnes by Elon Musk’s Falcon Heavy, which in February catapulted one of the U.S. entrepreneur’s red Tesla Roadster cars towards Mars.

NASA Space Launch System which is due to become operational in the year 2020. Also, is said that will be capable of 130 tonnes. Which falls short compared to China’s super rocket. As per reports, Xinhua quoted Mr. Long as saying the rocket could be used in manned lunar landings, in-depth space exploration or constructing a space-based solar power plant.

China’s Reusable Rocket.

Apart from the super rocket that China is working on currently. It is also developing a reusable space rocket which is expected to make its maiden flight in 2021. The first stage and the boosters will be retrieved after a vertical landing, Mr. Long said in a speech in Beijing.

China currently is pouring billions into the space programs. Also, according to the reports it hopes to have a crewed space station by 2022, and of sending humans to the Moon in the near future.

So far Russia and the U.S were far ahead in Space programs. However, now it seems like Asian superpowers Like China and India is catching up fast. Currently, only the future will tell who wins the race among the countries in Asia.
