India is all set to host the Kiwis as the One Day International series against New Zealand starts on the 22nd October. After celebrating the auspicious festival of Diwali with their adorable families, men in blue came back to the call of duty.
Thus, the Men in Blue were seen sweating it out in the nets ahead of the first ODI on Sunday at Wankhede Stadium. What’s surprising is Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun Tendulkar joined in to test himself against the best in business while also learn some valuable techniques from India’s bowling coach Bharat Arun.
Arjun has been practicing with a lot of teams off-late. He trained with the English national side before their series against West Indies and was also spotted bowling to Indian women players during the Women’s World Cup. A lot of Indian batsmen had problems facing Mitchell McClenaghan and Trent Boult when these sides met last year.
Taking that into consideration, the management roped in left-arm seamers to help the batters get used to the angle generated by left-arm seamers. Off-late, Arjun Tendulkar has developed a lot of skill and tends to bowl very quick.
Arjun was seen bowling to Virat Kohli and other Indian batsmen in the pictures posted by the official social media handles of the BCCI. Arjun is growing well as a cricketer. The left-armed pacer also made news when he bowled to Jonny Bairstow.
The English Batsman was left clueless by a perfect Yorker from Arjun Tendulkar during a practice session at the Lord’s, the Mecca of cricket. Today, he also bowled a quick bouncer to Shikhar Dhawan and the southpaw had no answer to it. It was a wee bit over the head and down the leg, but Dhawan was clearly beaten by the pace.
