BCCI has announced the team India squad for remaining two ODIs and first two Tests against South Africa. All-India Senior Selection Committee has made few changes in the squad according to the players performances. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has made a comeback to the Indian squad for the first two Tests. Jadeja was dropped after the recent tours of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Ravindra Jadeja replaced off-spinner Harbhajan Singh in Test squad. Harbhajan made a comeback after a long time during the Bangladesh tour. Harbhajan had played the only Test of that series and the first Test of the Sri Lanka tour. Harbhajan was dropped in second and third tests against Sri Lanka. As Harbhajan being dropped, Jadeja took it an advantage and topped the wickets chart in three rounds of Ranji Trophy.

Ravichandran Ashwin, who had a side strain injury during the first ODI in Kanpur, was placed in the 16-man Test squad as he was not picked for the remaining two ODIs. Ishant Sharma was placed in the Test squad despite being ineligible for selection for the first match because of a suspension on him by the ICC for bad behavior during India’s tour of Sri Lanka.

New bowler S Aravind replaced Umesh Yadav in the ODI squad for the remaining two matches of the series against South Africa. The BCCI also named the Board President’s XI which is being led by Cheteshwar Pujara to play against South Africa in Mumbai on October 30 and 31.
