BCCI Replaces Its Old Birthday Post On Anil Kumble After Getting Slammed By Netizens On Twitter

Former Team India’s Head Coach and captain Anil Kumble have turned 47 today. The whole cricket fraternity has been pouring in sweet comments, posts and fan-made things wishing the brief-coach on the social media.

Though his career as the coach was disrupted amidst the quite amusingly winning streak of the Indian team, there’s always a soft corner on either side and that least stained his name and fame. However, there is one tweet that appeared little tweaked and twitched about Kumble, and it is from BCCI.

Well, one doesn’t have to mess with the voice of people, and the same happened with BCCI, soon after the post was tweeted, netizens found it problematic, with the picture, post quote and everything, they went slamming the authorities for the deed until the committee has altered its tweet, took down the original one and posted a new, better one.

In the first tweet, they wrote, “Here’s wishing former #TeamIndia bowler @anilkumble1074 a very happy birthday.” Kumble, after acknowledging the tweet, thanked the board. But, Indian fans were miffed by the fact that the cricketer was not mentioned as a legend and the former coach in the tweet.

Check out the old tweet here:

And the new tweet read, “Here’s wishing a very happy birthday to former #TeamIndia Captain Mr. Anil Kumble #Legend #HappyBirthdayJumbo.”
