Boxing Champion Floyd Mayweather To Pay For George Floyd’s Funeral

Floyd Mayweather, a former boxing champion that has an undefeated record, has offered to pay for the funeral of George Floyd and the memorial services.

According to reports, the family of Floyd has accepted the offer of Floyd Mayweather.

Floyd Mayweather has been in touch with the family of George, said Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of the Mayweather Promotions.

The boxing legend is reportedly going to handle the costs of George Floyd’s funeral on June 9, 2020, in his hometown of Houston, USA.

He will also handle all other expenses.

TMZ was the first one that reported the offer of Mayweather.

Leonard Ellerbe said:

He’ll probably get mad at me for saying that, but yes, he is definitely paying for the funeral.

Floyd, a black man, died on May 25, 2020, after a white Minneapolis police officer pressed his knee into the neck of Floyd for over 8 minutes while the hands of Floyd were handcuffed.

The incident happened as Floyd was saying that he could not breathe.

The tragic death of Floyd sparked massive protests in Minneapolis and all over the country, in which some are extremely violent.
