The Sri Lankans had a hard time with Indian Batsman during this ongoing test series. India who lead the three-match Test series 1-0, will look to wrap up the final match as fast as possible and complete the record-equaling ninth series without too much ado. As the third Test is in the national capital Delhi which is covered with a layer of smog and pollution has forced the Sri Lankan players to wear masks while fielding.
We all know that the air pollution in Delhi has hit dangerous levels. Since last winter, this problem had faded from public concern as had the smog itself until now.
While the Lankans try to deal with the pressure of the runs, they also have to now play through uncomfortable conditions by wearing the mask to protect their health.
Recently, Indian Skipper Virat Kohli who is also from New Delhi also made it a point to talk about the smog and the pollution.
He stated that “Hi guys! We all know what the situation of pollution is like in Delhi, I wanted to bring your attention towards it because a lot of people are debating as to what’s causing it. But what are we actually doing about it? Agar hume yeh match jeetna hai pollution ke against, hum sab ko saath mein mil ke khelna hoga. Kyunki hum sabki zimmedaari hai pollution ko kam karna. Specially jo log Delhi mein rehte hain, un sabki yeh responsibility hai.”
“If we have to win this match against the pollution, we all have to come forward and fight against it. It is our responsibility to reduce the pollution levels. Especially the people from Delhi, it’s their responsibility.”
Twitter Reactions:
Then why Sri Lankan batsmen came to bat without those masks😂😂😂
If its really difficult to field they shouldn’t have come to bat— Induneshan sachu (@induneshan) December 3, 2017

2nd Wicket Gone. Smog de Silva Got LBW By Ishant Sharma. It’s Getting Really Difficult For Sri Lankan Batsmen To Even See The Ball, Else Each Of Them Could’ve Clearly Scored A Double Century And Won The Match By An Inning. #INDvsSL #Kohli #SmogInDelhi #INDvSL #DelhiSmog
