This Is The First Thing Ravi Shastri Told Virat Kohli After Becoming Team India’s Head Coach

Right from the beginning of the reign of Ravi Shastri as Team India’s head coach, India has been on a high swing in terms of cricket and spirit. However, post the resignation of Anil Kumble, the revision in salary details is carried out, and surprising everyone, it was believed that the salary of Shastri is brought down, however, his contract lasts for two years, until the end of World Cup 2019.

Now after a while, sources from the official website of The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the authentic details of the Indian cricket team’s chief coach Ravi Shastri’s salary, it read that Shastri has been paid a tick over Rs 1.20 crore as salary for the first three months of his tenure.

It all started off with the controversial exit of Anil Kumble after Team India’s defeat to Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy final, in June, BCCI selected Ravi Shastri as the new head coach of the Indian cricket team. Well, that was a month-long discussion.

Now after being working as the Team Director of the Men in Blue, prior to Kumble’s appointment in 2016, Shastri did his job so well as of now. Meanwhile, BCCI website revealed that for the time period of July 18 to October 18, Shastri has been paid an amount of Rs 1,20,87,187 for his services as the head coach.

On a whole, Indian Team is now doing pretty well in all formats of cricket, we literally dethroned all the leading teams by winning back to back series. In a recent interview, head coach Ravi Shastri revealed what was the first thing he told the Indian team after he resumed the job. While talking to CNN News 18, Shastri said that after he resumed the job of head coach he said he believes in the team and they have the potential to shine.

He said, “The only reason that I am here is that I believe in you guys and I know that you have the potential to shine. You cannot bring sports as a burden but instead enjoy it.”

Further, talking about skipper Virat, he said that he and skipper have many similar similarities and both of them play to win at all cost. He added that they both are strong-minded. Talking about Kohli he said, “Virat is in your face kind of character and what you see is what you get, which is me and this makes it easier and their no hiding behind the curtains.”
