Mohammad Kaif, well known as India’s then one of the possible best fielders India has ever got. Whenever we hear Kaif’s name, everyone gets only one match in their minds, 2002 Natwest Series between India and England.
Former India batsman Mohammad Kaif isn’t always in the news but makes his presence felt on social media. Whether it comes to any festive celebration, family outing or his workout routine, Kaif keeps his followers updated about his life.
Religious intolerance has become a burning menace in the current day scenario. Starting from actress Fatima Sana Sheikh, Gauri Khan’s posts on Instagram, Mohammad Kaif to Indian bowler Mohammad Shami, no one was spared in being the scapegoats of religious biasedness.
It is so sad, that such a simple deeds by the celebrities are sensationalized roping in outrage from extreme conservatives. It is not too long that Kaif has been threatened for following Hindus’ ritual of practicing the traditional ‘Suryanamaskar’ and ‘playing chess’ with his dear son.
Now, after some time, this former ace Indian fielder is once again criticized for celebrating Christmas with his family being a Muslim. The 37-year-old was once again at the receiving end of trolls on Monday after he wished his followers a Merry Christmas.
On the happy and auspicious occasion of Christmas, Mohammad Kaif turned Santa for his kids and posed for a Merry pic with them. “Merry Christmas! May there be peace and love,” Kaif captioned in an image with his family.

It was so strange to see because what Mohammad Kaif did was a pure and harmless gesture that depicts the real spirit of India. But, the Muslim radicals took no time and lashed out at him. People got offended and it tells that there’s something seriously wrong with them individually.

This is not the first instance where trolls have been targeted at Kaif. Earlier in July, he was trolled for playing chess with his son. But he did not hold back and lashed out at his users asking if “breathing is also un-Islamic.”
Not only Kaif but the likes of Irfan Pathan and Mohammed Shami have also been slammed for their un-Islamic lifestyle. While critics have made voiced their opinions, a share amount of fans have also backed the cricketers.
