After all the talks of the mistakes committed by the Indian batsmen at Pune, they were firm that there will be no repeat of what happened in the first Test but once Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon got into his groove they just walked back to the pavilion one after the other.
The comeback of Mukund was short-lived as he was sent packing for a duck by Starc. Virat Kohli started off well but didn’t look his usual self. Virat looked solid for his 12 runs but left alone deliver that spun a bit but did not bounce. It was crashing into the middle and leg stump if it wasn’t for Virat’s pad.
The Indian skipper decided to review it and it was indeed unsuccessful. Nathon Lyon got Virat Kohli and it was the fifth time he had done so. This left India in a spot of bother as they struggle at 88 for 3 on a good batting wicket. After watching 9 partners walk back Rahul was the last to get out on 90 and the off-spinner wrapped up the Indian innings with an 8-wicket haul his first in Test cricket.
Twitter reacted to the dismissal and some of them were really hilarious while some fans were utterly disappointed with the skipper. Here are some of the reactions.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Team India’s dismal batting show:
