India Crush Sri Lanka By Record 304 Runs, Twitter Hails Team India And Trolls Sri Lankan Team Brutally

The first Test of the 3-match series between India and Sri Lanka at the Galle is won by the visiting team. After winning the toss and electing to bat first against the hosts, Team India piled up a big total of 600 with the help of Shikhar Dhawan’s 190 and Cheteshwar Pujara’s 153. Team India has been able to put great pressure on the host team with their supreme performance.

Not forgetting, the Indian bowlers had done a great job by restricting the hosts for 291 all out. Virat-led side took a healthy lead of 309 runs in the first innings and bundled the home side for 291 in reply to their 600. India chose not to enforce the follow-on.

In the second innings, Virat Kohli is back with a bang as he ended his poor run of form in the longer format by scoring an unbeaten 103 on day four. With his century, Virat became the fastest among Indian captains to reach 1000 runs on foreign soil, breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s previous record who took 19 innings while Kohli achieved the milestone in 17.

Earlier, Indian were 189/3 at stumps after Abhinav Mukund was the man to be dismissed on the final delivery of the day. Mukund scored 81 in the process.  Meanwhile, on day four, India concluded their second innings of first Test match at 240/3 (d) to set hosts Sri Lanka a target of 550 runs.

No Rangana Herath, no Asela Gunaratne to bat and Sri Lanka have lost this Test inside four days. Doesn’t it reflect perfectly on the two individuals? Those two have done most of the hard work in the last few series’ and without them, it has been very hard for the home side.

Hence, Twitter hailed team India for winning the first Test and trolled Sri Lankan team for their poor performance both in batting and bowling.
