India and Bangladesh are playing a Test in India for the first time. Never before the visitors ever been part of a five-day game against India on home ground. This is a big moment for Bangladesh a good show against India can give them more credibility as a Test playing nation.
Team India were 86 runs for 1 wicket in 27 overs at lunch time. Indian team won the toss and chose to bat first. But, they lost the first wicket of opener KL Rahul in the beginning when Rahul attacking batsman performing on a ball on to his was stumped. The Bangladeshi fielders fumbled a bit to dismiss Murali Vijay.
Bangladesh missed getting the second wicket in it’s 19th over. They got an open run-out chance but could not affect it. India remained only one down. The bowler failed t collect the ball and aim at the wickets.
Vijay pushed it to square leg and took a couple of steps forward. Pujara, looking at the ball, responded to the call and charged for a single. Both were at the same end. The fielder throws at the non-striker’s end where Mehedi fails to collect it and Vijay comes down for a run.
