Ishant Sharma Tries To Find Seam And Bounce Under Water, Gets Brutally Trolled On Twitter

Indian speedster Ishant Sharma, who last played for the national team in March against Australia in the 4-match Test series is currently enjoying his free time in Maldives. Ishant is funny because he is the subject of memes and jokes but this time he made a deliberate attempt of being funny himself.

As team India is on their way to wipe out the Sri Lankans in the limited-overs series, Ishant is spending his time off the field with his wife in Maldives. The pacer didn’t get a chance in Test series against Sri Lanka as captain Virat Kohli chose Umesh Yadav and Mohammad Shami over him this time.

With the added strength of the team, Hardik Pandya was selected in Test series for the first time by the BCCI. Coming back to Ishant’s time off the field, he tried a hand at snorkeling. He then attempted to crack a joke along with a picture of him and his wife snorkeling in the Maldives.

He took to Twitter to share a picture with the caption, “Trying to find some seam and bounce under water #maldives #snorkeling #familytime.”

However, jokes and Ishant have a history and Twitterati is merciless when it comes to that. Various tweets that followed were about comments along with Sharma’s signature expression that became worldwide meme material during the India vs. Australia Test series.

Ishant was recently in the news that suggested that he is joining County Cricket for Warwickshire along with Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. However, Ishant put an end to all the rumors doing the rounds by a tweet saying that he has not joined Warwickshire or any other county.

Especially, Umesh Yadav has become Virat’s go to the fast bowler, while Shami is in good form. Though one of them does not play, the captain has Bhuvaneshwar Kumar to replace the spot for his adaptability in various overseas conditions.

For now, the only source of seeing Ishant is on Twitter, snorkeling:

Ishant hasn’t played for India since the series against Australia, which ended in March. Even in his last-minute inclusion in the Indian Premier League for the Kings XI Punjab, he remained wicket-less in his brief stint of 6 matches.

His future in the team is also doubtful and would depend on the conditions that India are playing in because currently, Pandya has made it clear that he is here to stay and as long as he does, Ishant’s place in the Playing XI is uncertain.
