In the ongoing ODI series between New Zealand and Sri Lanka, the hosting team has shockingly won the second ODI by 10 wickets. New Zealand opening batsman Martin Guptill had outbursted with his smashing innings of 93 runs off just 30 balls. Guptill almost went close breaking the world record for the fastest ODI fifty. The fastest fifty was done by South African batsman AB De Villiers against West Indies in just 16 balls.
Martin Guptill just missed the record who made his fifty in 17 balls which are very close to ABD. Guptill wonderful innings included nine 4s and eight 6s. Thus, finished the match within 9 overs. Guptill took the top position for the fastest fifty by a New Zealand cricketer. Earlier, Brendon McCullum was the player to top the list of fastest fifty in 18 balls.
