Watch: MS Dhoni Gets Angry After Yuzvendra Chahal Misses An Easy Run-Out

Yuzvender Chahal took six wickets after Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni scored fifties to help India beat England, win series 2-1. But the star of India’s win against England, Chahal did a big mistake in yesterday’s match which made Dhoni loose his cool.

Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal missed a run-out opportunity in his first over as non-striker Jason Roy was stranded near the batsman’s end. Chahal threw the ball to MS Dhoni rather than dislodge the bails at his own end.

It was the fourth delivery of the second over of England innings that Joe Root played at cover. Skipper Virat Kohli put in an acrobatic effort to stop the ball and he was quick to throw it towards Yuzvendra Chahal, who had all the time to dislodge the bails at the bowling end, but Chahal threw the ball at the other end, without noticing the non-striker end asking Dhoni to go for the run-out.

Root said no to Roy, who was already at the halfway down the pitch. He ran back as the throw came in. All Chahal had to do was run and remove the bails at the non-striker’s end. That would have given India another wicket. But he didn’t and Dhoni’s reacted in an aggressive way.

The cool tempered Dhoni shouted at Chahal and made an aggressive move, a rare act from the former Indian captain.
