MS Dhoni Once Again Gets Into Captain’s Shoes In IND Vs SA ODI, Says “Cheeku…” Stump-Mic Recordings Out!

The way Mahendra Singh Dhoni lifted the spirits of Indian team is undeniable and priceless. Indian squad garnered world cups in all formats under his guidance. Thanks to the man of impossibilities, with more than 12 years of experience in One-Day International Cricket, MS Dhoni has learned the ever existing tactics and possibilities in cricket. His being cool and attentive nature is all that deserves a sound applause.

Now after signing off the captaincy, Dhoni still indirectly in guiding Indian players in many ways. There are a plethora of moments when he is seen directing the bowlers and suggesting the other teammates in multiple ways. It is pretty clear that Kohli is so far at his best in learning some ground-breaking things from the former captain.

Back then in ODIs against Australia and New Zealand, many of us might have acknowledged Dhoni passing some suggestions to the young cricketers. It is the stump microphones that managed to catch the former skipper’s words and the fans are surely loving the way he is helping the bowlers and nurturing the current skipper Virat Kohli.

Now after a while, the good-old mikes on the stumps once again gave us a sneak peek into Dhoni’s head. It was in the 1st ODI with South Africa that offered fans another chance to gauge Dhoni’s cricketing acumen when the stump mic picked up some interesting quirky bits.

Dhoni was heard calling Kohli “Cheeku” and Kuldeep Yadav as “Kulee”.

Not only this, Dhoni was also discussing about how the Proteas won’t understand their bowling strategies.

Indian spinner Chahal spokeabout Dhoni’s captaincy even though he left it, dearly said, “Dhoni bhai is still our captain, sometimes, when Kohli bhai fields at mid-on or long-on, then we need someone who can guide us too. It is not possible for Kohli to come up and tell what needs to be done. Then, Dhoni takes over,” Chahal said.

However, India enjoyed a brilliant victory over South Africa in the ODI & we need to give a round of applause to Kohli for smashing a power-packed century.
