[WATCH] MS Dhoni Getting A Taste Of His Own Medicine, Here’s How Twitterati Reacted

Overwhelming dominant so far against the Aussies, the Indian team had come aiming to wrap up another series win when they take on a fumbling Australia in the second T20I. The ACA-Barsapara Stadium is the fresh pitch to the Australians and also for the Indians.

Warner’s anticipation putting the hosts to batting has worked out completely well. The one-match old bowler Jason Behrendorff had ripped the Indian top order by taking back-to-back wickets of the world class batsmen. Not only Behrendorff, the spin bowler Adam Zampa was good enough as he took two crucial wickets of the Indian team.

The domination of former India skipper MS Dhoni behind the stumps is known to all. Be it under-arm flicks without looking at the stumps or whipping off the bails in a flash, Dhoni has proved time and again that he is arguably the best gloves man in the business.

But, it is quite irregular when an opposition wicket-keeper gives you a taste of your own medicine. Yes, it’s MS Dhoni who was the victim of Adam Zampa. It was in the 10th over of India’s innings. Fifth ball, shorter of a delivery on the off stump as Dhoni charged out to defend the ball to take a single.

But the spin beat the batsman, as the ball turned slight of an inch past his bat and Aussie wicketkeeper Tim Paine just had ample time to click off the bails. Credit to the Australian spinner Adam Zampa as he managed to beat Dhoni in flight and the wicketkeeper-batsman was left clueless after he decided to step down the track.

Well, this was the first time ever that Dhoni departed on a stumping in T20Is.

Twitter users had some amazing reactions on Dhoni being stumped. While some lauded Zampa for cleverly outfoxing Dhoni, others trolled the master for getting a taste of his own medicine.

Twitter Reactions:

As for the match, Aussie pacer Jason Behrendorff (4/21) castled down India’s formidable top-order lineup while Zampa finished off with 2/19 as the hosts bundled out for a mere 118 runs. Warner’s men successfully chased the target within 16 overs leveling the 3-match series 1-1.
