MS Dhoni Gives A Kickass Reply To Mahela Jayawardene’s Tweet On His Speed

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni is one of the fastest cricketers in the world cricket. No doubt, he is a hard hitter of the ball and very quick between the wickets. He doesn’t have big muscles or six pack abs because he is a natural athlete. He always manages to stay fit throughout his long playing career and still going strong.

This brought him a huge fan army in India and across the world. Thus, they call him Dhana Dhan Dhoni. But, a few days ago, when former Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene congratulated world’s fastest sprinter Usain Bolt after his last professional race, one of Dhoni’s fan wrote that Dhoni is faster than Usain Bolt.

Jayawardene gave a sarcastic reply saying, “Was Dhoni on his bike?” However, this tweet didn’t go well with Dhoni fans and started trolling Jayawardene on Twitter.

It is a well-established fact that Usain Bolt is the fastest man in the world and what he has achieved as a professional racer in unparalleled. Olympics after Olympics, Bolt stunned his opponents with his speed and bagged gold medals.

However, Dhoni isn’t that slow that he would have to be on a bike to be anywhere close to Usain Bolt. In his career, Dhoni has never been run-out due to lack of speed, rather there have been a few misunderstandings in the middle.

Recently, MS Dhoni was at the National Cricket Academy to give fitness test ahead of the ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka. Thus, Dhoni posted a picture on his Facebook account to give the timing of his 20 meter-run. Here’s what Dhoni posted on Facebook:

He wrote, “NCA all tests done. 20 meter in 2.91 sec. Run a 3 done in 8.90 sec.

Now, people are claiming that this is an indirect reply from Dhoni to Mahela Jayawardene for his ‘bike’ remark.

Suresh Raina also attended the NCA fitness test camp and it appears that BCCI has asked him to show up at NCA to prove his fitness. This is a positive sign for him and it would not be a surprise if Raina is selected in India ODI and T20I squad. The squad for both the series will be announced on 13th August.
