Another MS Dhoni Special As He Runs Gunathilaka Out In Yesterday’s Match [WATCH VIDEO]

We all know how good is MS Dhoni at glove work. During the match between India and Sri Lanka in the ICC Champions Trophy, Dhoni produced a genius of a run out of Sri Lankan batsman Gunathilaka.

With Indian Opener Shikhar Dhawan’s fantastic century, Rohit Sharma and Dhoni fifties, team India could score 321 in 50 overs against Sri Lanka. With the target of 322, Sri Lanka came down to bat and lost their one of the openers Niroshan Dickwella very soon. But things started slowly changing towards Sri Lanka in form of Danushka Gunathilaka and Kusal Mendis.

Eventually, things were not going in team India’s way in the middle phase of the innings. Both the batsmen had put up a solid partnership 159-run partnership for the second wicket. They enjoyed the ball coming onto the bat nicely and hitting them off to the boundaries as well.

No bowler was successful in taking wickets as skipper Virat tried Hardik, Jadeja and also part-time bowler Kedar Jadhav. Even Kohli himself took the ball to try to break the partnership of Sri Lankan batsmen. Though Virat wasn’t able to do it with the ball, his over did bring the team a breakthrough in the form of run-out.

Gunathilaka hit the ball towards square leg and comfortably picked one run and decided to challenge the fielder at the ropes for the second run. We know how good Umesh Yadav is when it comes to fielding especially few run outs. Umesh was very quick as he could throw the ball to keeper Dhoni.

However, Dhoni was even quick to grab the ball and get the bails off. A full-length dive couldn’t save Gunathilaka and was run out. There is nobody in business who can do it faster than the Indian wicketkeeper. London erupted in celebration as the Indian players patted MSD for his commendable work behind the wickets.
