Nerlens Noel Agrees To Return To Oklahoma City Thunder

Nerlens Noel declined his player option for 2019-2020 which made him an unrestricted free agent. Earlier today, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski confirmed that the center has agreed to return to OKC.

Even after having a restricted season last year, Noels is known to be a solid shot-blocker.

Noels was selected in the 2013 NBA Draft where he was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers. The center was then part of a trade where he was sent to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for a second-round pick, Andrew Bogut, and Justin Anderson.

Noels played one season with the Mavs before he signed with the OKC in 2018.

Last season, Nerlens averaged 4.9 points, 4.2 rebounds. And 1.2 blocks per game in his season with the Oklahoma City Thunders, he played 77 games for the team. The center shot 58.7% from the field and 68.4% from the free throw line.
