During the first ODI between New Zealand and Pakistan, New Zealand All-rounder Mitchell McClenaghan was smashed on his face by a short ball bowled by Anwar Ali. McClenaghan tried to play the pull short which didn’t connect. Eventually, the ball missed the bat and flew in through the gap between the grills of the helmet and hit his left eye. The ball hit hard as the impact made McClenaghan fall.

The ball remained stuck between the grills of the helmet. Soon the Physio came in and took him out of the ground as he cannot continue play.
