Pakistani Cricketer Mohammad Hafeez Tweeted A Photo Rahul Dravid, Here’s How Pakistan Fans Reacted

Former Indian skipper and one of the greatest batsmen at the no.3 spot, Rahul Dravid is known for his calm and composed nature on and off the field. He has played many unforgettable knocks over his career of 16 years.

If we have to pinpoint at one man in Indian cricket who was humble throughout his career, handled fame the best and was grounded when at the peak, is termed a legend and it is for sure former Indian skipper and ‘The Wall’ Rahul Dravid.

People have immense respect for him for his calm and composed nature both on and off the field. He is a huge name in India but has no tantrums of a celebrity. Despite having celebrity status, he is still just another commoner outside the cricketing circles.

When you get an opportunity to meet him, it would be anybody’s pleasure to spend a quality time with him, isn’t it? Pakistan cricketer Mohammed Hafeez on Friday bumped into former India captain Rahul Dravid on a flight to New Zealand.

Hafeez got a selfie with the legendary Indian batsmen and posted it on Twitter. This showed how much respect the Indian commands not just from the current and former cricketers but also from his fans across the border.

Hafeez, who was traveling with the Pakistan team for a limited-overs series against the Kiwis, clicked a selfie with Dravid and posted it on Twitter, and the response it received was heartwarming. Dravid is also traveling to New Zealand as coach of India’s under-19 squad for the ICC U-19 World Cup.

“Met with a man called THE WALL in cricket RAHUL Bhai @Im_Dravid he is a great human being always there to talk about cricket & helping u out, honored to play with him in the Feild & always a pleasure to meet U, stay blessed,” Hafeez tweeted.

Dravid, widely regarded as one of the finest to have played the game, received plenty of love from cricket fans across the border. Apart from boasting of a prolific batting record, Dravid also earned the respect of not just his peers but also fans across the world.

Some of the replies to Hafeez’s tweet were proof of the goodwill Dravid enjoys in the cricket community.

Dravid’s next aim is to see a few of the World Cup-bound colts included in the ‘A’ team within the next six to eight months.

“The World Cup is an exciting challenge and provides a good opportunity for all these guys. There is a process now in place in Indian cricket – U-19 cricket to first-class cricket and then to India A and then the India national team, when the opportunity arrives,” Dravid said at the press conference before the departure of India’s U-19 team to New Zealand.
