Ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auctions, England wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler grabbed the limelight with a stunning match-winning century against Australia in the third ODI to remind the cricket fraternity about his destructive ability with the bat.
Michael Vaughan does not shy away from giving anyone a piece of his mind and it is well-known fact. He is also known for his comments on Twitter. This time, an Indian fan paid the price for taking on the former cricketer.
The cricketer-turned-commentator savaged the fan after writing a derogatory reply to his tweet. It all began when Vaughan posted a critical tweet for football team Sheffield Wednesday. He is again in the news for a weird reason.
Now, Indian fans trolled him after he ran an online poll, asking his followers to choose one between MS Dhoni and Jos Buttler on the basis of current form.
The right-handed struck unbeaten 100 runs off 83 balls to take The Three Lions to a challenging total of 302 runs. Buttler entertained the crowd with his swashbuckling knock which was laced with 6 fours and 4 sixes as he also added a 113-run unbeaten stand for the seventh wicket with Chris Woakes.
Michael Vaughan looked mighty impressed as he said Buttler had gone ahead of MS Dhoni in terms of power. “The Indians will go nuts because they’ll say ‘there’s MS Dhoni’. Well, I think Buttler’s just gone ahead of MS Dhoni because of his approach and because of the power he brings,” Vaughan told.
Intrigued what you all think…You are allowed 1 of these 2 now in your team… Who you going for on present form !??

No doubt, MS Dhoni has won the poll.
However, it was Vaughan who was trolled by the Indian cricket fans for running that poll.

Dhoni is GOD. Jos is good but he is just a human. It will take him 7 more births to stump as fast as Dhoni and score over 15000 runs with almost 50 average

If you will ask @josbuttler who he wanted in his dream team he would say @msdhoni but if you will ask other way around MSD might doesn’t even know who Jos butler is.

Statistically, Dhoni had a better calendar year (2017) than Buttler. Dhoni averaged 60.61 in 29 ODIs, scoring 788 runs with one century and six half-centuries. Buttler, on the other hand, could manage only 288 runs at 28.80 with two fifties in 2017. Dhoni had better returns in T20I in 2017 as well. He scored 252 runs in 13 matches at 42, with one half-century. Buttler played seven matches, scoring 86 at 17.20, with the highest of 31.
