Heart Touching!! Rafael Nadal Stopped His Game So That A Woman Could Find Her Missing Child

Tennis superstar Rafael Nadal stopped a match when a distraught mother interrupted the game because she had lost her young daughter in the crowd. A match being stopped due to an unexpected interruption is nothing new.

But when a great stops an ongoing game because a mother is looking for her little girl, that does deserve a special mention. The Spanish tennis champion Rafael Nadal was playing an exhibition doubles match with Simon Solbas against Carlos Moya and John McEnroe in Mallorca when a large commotion broke out in the crowd.

But Nadal – himself a world number one – stopped the game in front of the 7,000 strong crowd when he heard the commotion, and realised a child had gone missing.

Nadal was about to serve when he immediately stopped, sparking a court-wide search for the toddler. TV footage showed the upset mother of the child standing next to a steward and shouting ‘Clara’.

Nadal, 30,  and his teammates stopped playing, and when the crowd realised there was a problem, they started looking for the child. The tearful girl was soon spotted a short distance away and bystanders alerted the emotional mother, who ran to pick her up and hug her tightly.

The spectators applauded the emotional moment while Nadal was seen smiling after the happy ending.

It was a touching gesture by Nadal to recognise the problem faced by a fan. It shows that sportspersons are humans too at the end of the day.

It’s the latest tear-jerking moment we’ve seen on the sporting field in recent times.

He waited and started looking for the missing daughter among the spectators and kept waiting until the toddler was reunited with her mother. This little gesture justifies all the unconditional love he receives from his fans.

We love you even more, Nadal! ❤️
