Celebrities use some really quality products and when it comes down to the price of that, it is simply beyond common man’s imagination. Now, Rohit Sharma’s birthday watch has become the topic of discussion, his wristwatch which is Hublot’s collaboration with Ferrari has resulted in some truly exceptional product. Much like the one being worn by birthday lad Rohit Sharma, a pretty big watch aficionado and in Hublot’s words a ‘friend of the brand’.
The picture of him flaunting off the watch has taken the Internet by storm. The model he is wearing is a Hublot Big Bang — from the brand’s flagship collection, except it’s the Hublot Big Bang Unico Ferrari Unico in King Gold — and it’s limited to only 500 pieces. Post the recent victory against Chennai Super Kings at the IPL series, the man of the match is sporting a watch with strong automotive motifs.
Starting with the wheel rim shaped rotor and the brake pedal shaped chronograph pushers to the open-work display of mechanical artistry, much like in a mid-engined Ferrari.
With the price somewhere around at the Retailing at ₹27.8 lakh (excluding taxes), the watch gets a Unico movement — developed in-house by Hublot, a quick release system for swapping straps (Sharma can be seen wearing a sporty rubber strap). The watch is also available in a carbon composite and titanium version, but the King Gold edition happens to be the rarest.
So, yes, that watch is definitely looking awesome. And well, for a normal software employee who earns around Rs 3 Lakhs per year, buying that watch is beyond teh dreams.
