Rohit Sharma Contacts ICC To Introduce A New Rule To Tackle Kagiso Rabada

The Proteas had finally managed to apply brakes to team India’s winning streak in the ongoing 6-match Momentum ODI series by winning the 4th ODI in Johannesburg by 5 wickets by Duckworth-Lewis Method (D/L) on Saturday.

The match witnessed a few action-packed moments, that saw dropped catches, poor fielding and the South African batsmen dominating the Indian spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav for the first time in the series. Though the top order of South Africa failed, their middle order batsmen stunned everyone with amazing performance.

Coming to the Indian batting lineup, it has been a tough tour for opener Rohit Sharma so far and he is facing a hard time playing against South African pacer Kagiso Rabada. Out of 8 outings, Rohit Sharma was dismissed 6 times by Rabada. This has become a big problem for the Mumbai batsman.

It seems like Rohit should consult doctors for the pills which can help him forgetting this South Africa tour. The Indian opener, who was toying with the Sri Lankan bowlers before this series has failed to score a total of 200 runs on this tour. He has to remove memories of this awful series but Rabada won’t.

People started criticizing Rohit that a similar film like Padman should be made with the name ‘Bat-man’ for Rohit only to tell him there is no shame in holding a bat against Rabada. He needs to find a way to tackle the South African pacer, or Indian fans will forget him like the north-east states of India.

What should Rohit do to overcome the never-ending Rabada obstacle? We have an answer for it.

Sources suggest that 30-year-old has tried contacting ICC to introduce them a new rule. As per Rohit, the rule should be, any pacer who dismisses a batsman more than 3 times in a series must not bowl over 140+ KMPH in the rest of the series. Hardik Pandya too came in support of this rule. Pandya thinks this rule will make him look like he also has dismissed a batsman thrice in the series.

Reacting to Rohit’s request, ICC assured him that they will discuss it. Rohit was still unhappy for not getting married in February because the Indian batsman has good scores around his wedding anniversary. This might have helped him on South African tour.
