WOW! Rohit Sharma Holds Sri Lankan Flag To Thank The Fans

Team India snatched the victory from Bangladesh in the final match against them in Nidahas trophy, thanks to the blistering innings from Indian wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik who scored 29 runs off just 8 balls.

The stadium was packed up the fans from both the countries Bangladesh Sri Lanka, and interestingly, Indian cricket team got the support of the Sri Lankan fans in the stadium. The Sri Lankan crowd went berserk supporting the Indian team whenever there are fours and sixes.

It is due to the fight between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in their semi-final match, the fans of Sri Lanka are angry on Bangladesh and hence supported the Indian cricket team throughout the game.

It is very usual that the winning team’s captain takes the victory lap with the country flag, but after the final of Nidahas trophy, Indian captain Rohit Sharma did something unusual that increased the respect in the hearts of the every cricket fan.

Rohit, along with his team took the victory lap, but with the flag of Sri Lanka as a gesture of thanks to Sri Lanka’s crowd for the wonderful support they gave for the Indian cricket team all over the match and even after the match.

Man of the match Dinesh Karthik too had thanked the Sri Lankan fans for the love they had shown and also for their support. During the presentation ceremony, Dinesh Karthik said, “Brilliant for the crowd who came out in numbers, on behalf of my team, would want to thank the Sri Lankan crowd for coming out and supporting the way they did.”

Indian all-rounder Washington Sundar was the Man of the Series for the wickets he took.

In the final match, Bangladesh batted first and scored 160 runs, and when India had to score 5 runs off the last ball, Dinesh Karthik smashed the ball for a six and gave India a memorable victory.
