Amidst the contentious match that spree the nerves, words are too short to detail the momentous feeling of the Indian squad. All they had done is simply glorious, unbelievable and great at the same time.
So this is how a normal Sunday became a Super Sunday for Indian fans.Amidst the 10th anniversary celebrations of the World T20 win in 2007. Australia came but did not compete hard enough. There was a bit of fight, but it wasn’t good enough to really down the Indians.
With today’s match, it became 3-0 and the two teams fly down south to the much cooler garden city of Bengaluru. No doubt India would continue to be ruthless on the field. The last time these two sides met at the Chinnaswamy, it was a cracker of a contest. What’s in store for us this time around.
India has now won nine consecutive ODIs – the joint most equaling the nine we have won between 14 Nov 2008 to 5 Feb 2009 under MS Dhoni’s captaincy. Somewhere somehow there was a fear that India might not bag the innings, but it was Rohit’s back-to-back sixes that raised the bars for all real.
On a note, it was Rohit Sharma’s prowess sixes that brought in new hopes for the TeamIndia, he literally trembled the bowling order of the Aussies. At the Holkar Stadium, Rohit shrugged off the uncertainty of the 10th ball. The previous delivery, a short one by Nathan Coulter-Nile, had invaded his private space, cramping him for room and making him uncomfortable.

Post the match, Steven Smith, skipper of the Australian team said, “I thought the way they [Rohit and Rahane] played, they took the game away, got themselves ahead of the rate, set it up for the rest of the guys.”
India is currently dominating Aussies all from the beginning. Today’s especially is a commanding win, another series in the bag and now, No. 1 on the ICC rankings. This is seriously good cricket by India. India is finding players for every situation; whether it is Pandya up the order or Pandey down to finish or Rahane joining Rohit at the top.
