Chasing a mammoth total of 197 runs India never got going, and skipper Virat Kohli was critical about the Men in Blues’ batting in the 2nd T20I in Rajkot. However, the Indian batsmen failed to score big and dismissed in regular intervals right from the start of the innings.
It was Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni who played good innings but was too late for them to reach the target. Hence, New Zealand won the match by 40 runs making the 3-match T20 series 1-1. Post-match, people started criticizing Indian players for their poor performance in both batting and bowling.
Aaj Tak senior reporter and TV presenter Vikrant Gupta had posted a tweet during the 2nd T20I at Rajkot, where India was chasing 197 to win but went on to lose by 40 runs after the failure of their batsmen and in particular the openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma.
Taking a dig at the team’s batting, Vikrant Gupta in the line of opinion expressed by Harbhajan Singh where he said the openers must play out the new ball to pull off the chase and using a hashtag #BachKeRehna.
Vikrant wrote, “Bhajju @harbhajan_singh feels 197 chasable but Rohit-Shikhar has to play out the new ball #BachkeRehna @StarSportsIndia #IndvNZ.”

This probably triggered the Hitman. Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma is an expert in hitting the ball out of the boundary using his bat when he is playing on the field but when he is off-field, he can hit trolls big time with his wit on social media networks.
Rohit Sharma has a sense of humor that we have seen often on social media, as he is one of the few Indian cricketers who doesn’t shy away from pulling legs of his teammates in public. Rohit swung into action and showed his trolling side with this funny reply, “Such a valid point we didn’t realize.”

However, the reporter made an attempt to manage things with one more tweet, “Never mind champ. There’s always a tomorrow.”

Well, it seems that Rohit Sharma is ready to hit anything which comes his way, whether on-field or off-field. The third and final match which is the decider of the series is held at Greenfield Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram on 7 November 2017.
