Suresh Raina, a cricketer, underwent knee surgery on August 9, 2019, and is expected to be out for 4 to 6 weeks.
This means that Raina will miss the upcoming domestic season.
The BCCI announced the surgery on their official Twitter account yesterday and said that the cricketer was having discomfort in his knee for a couple of months.
The BCCI said, “Mr. Suresh Raina underwent a knee surgery where he had been facing discomfort for the last few months. The surgery has been successful and it will require him 4-6 weeks of rehab for recovery. We wish him a speedy recovery.”
Raina was seen last in the IPL (Indian Premier League) where he scored 383 runs in just 17 matches. He played for the Chennai Super Kings.
Suresh has played in 18 test matches and 226 One Day Internationals for India.
Raina has played in 78 Twenty-20 International games and scored 1605 runs in total.
