In the on-going ODI series between India and New Zealand, team India has been doing a great job in fielding and bowling but poor batting performance. Bowlers have been in great form as they are restricting the New Zealand bowlers to make runs and taking wickets at regular intervals. But batsmen failed to perform which resulted in loss in 4th ODI at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi.
New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first and made 260-7 in 50 overs with Martin Guptill exceptional performance.New Zealand cruised into the middle overs of the innings but while making their way to the 35-40 over phase. MS Dhoni made use of a mystical third eye and threw the ball behind his back which found the stumps which is the highlight noticeable thing of the match.
Chasing 260, Indian top order batsmen failed to perform as Southee & Neesham dominated hosts with their magnificent bowling. Santner was very economical with 1/38 in his 10 overs which turned the tide to New Zealand side.
Summary:
Twitter Reactions:
Williamson must have a lot of faith in his bowlers to ask India to chase. But that can only have meaning if his batsmen come good

Honestly, how many of you, including those who follow 1st class cricket closely could’ve predicted Kedar Jadhav would provide so many overs!

Rohit Sharma Is So Selfless Cricketer, He Sacrifices His Wicket Everytime So That Virat Kohli Can Hit A Century. 😉#IndvsNZ #IndvNZ

Sometimes Virat Kohli proves that he is human being by not completing the chase….

Clearly Axar Patel has been sent in to give the innings a quick boost. There is a fair bit of batting left so not a lot to lose

Proof that life is unfair: Rohit Sharma has a bat sponsor, but Manish Pandey doesn’t.

Hardik + Patel at the crease.

Kedar Jadhav doesn’t get a wicket, doesn’t get a run. Trouble started with that Mishra drop. #INDvNZ

After the match they will talk about India lacking a finisher when none of the top 4 kicked on. #IndvNZ

All’s square in the series again. The Indian Tail enders fought bravely but it just wasn’t meant to be. #OrangeArmy #INDvsNZ
