West Indies all-rounder Marlon Samuels has given the most befitting reply to his feud with Ben Stokes. In a Test match between England and West Indies, both the players Ben Stokes and Marlon Samuels have reached a stage where abusing became very common between them on the cricket field. This is more than the age-old banter and funny on-field activities. Samuels stood to attention and gave a military-style salute to his England rival Ben Stokes when he was dismissed.
Samuels looked very happy though he was waiting for the moment. When Stokes fell prey to Devendra Bishoo, Samuels stood in attention and saluted Stokes as he was walking towards the pavilion. “The Samuels salute was all right because it is banter and fun,” Geoffrey Boycott told.
“It’s obvious the English boys don’t learn because whenever they talk to me I continue scoring runs. But they keep on talking, I guess they can’t help it. I kept on telling him that, but I probably have to tell him something different because he’s not listening. He keeps talking to me, but it keeps me motivated and keeps me batting” Samuels said.
