The recently concluded match between India and South Africa looked like a perfect game for the Indian cricket fans. The entire cricketing community tuned into their TV sets to watch two of the most fierce competitors in the sport, battle it out for the semi-final slot.
As expected, Indian skipper Virat Kohli stood up to the expectations of his countrymen and women. Kohli’s on-field energy rubbed off on the rest of the team and the result was a one-sided victory for India.
The match turned out into many twists as the South Africa had a horrible day on the field as three of their batsmen got run out. AB Devilliers and David Miller were the two batsmen who fell to a poor understanding with their partner Faf Du Plessis.
However, this third run out by the master plan of Virat and Dhoni to get out Imran Tahir from the last match topped them all like a wildfire.
Many of us were wondering, why in this world Imran Tahir took a second run in yesterday’s game. With a wicket-keeper like MS Dhoni and a fielder like Virat Kohli, even the quickest of batsmen will say a big “NO” to such a close-run. Wanna know the reason behind it.
It was a clear-cut strategy played by Virat to get the South-African runout and Dhoni showed his fastest hands as usual.
We came across this video clip recorded by a fan in the stadium during last night’s match. In the video, we can clearly see Virat intentionally fumbled the ball and the batsmen thought that the ball was out of his control and we know that MSD is always ready and he swiftly removed the bails to send Tahir back to the pavilion.

It’s clear that how Kohli fumbles, goofs up and then collects himself to throw the ball without wasting any time. Anyone who’s grown up playing the sport would instantly connect with this video of Kohli running towards the ball.
