[WATCH VIDEO] Virat Kohli Runs Rohit Sharma Out Yet Again And Left Twitterati In Splits

Indian team has successfully clinched the first three matches and won the series already, with an ultimate back to back winning streaks until the Australian openers smashed the Indian bowlers to the highest team score in the series in the 4th ODI at MA Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Team India was in full swing with back-to-back wins that was ended by the visiting team yesterday.

However, it is unlike the previous matches. Today, Indian players lacked the previous perfection that hunched the rivals from bagging the win. Aussies somehow managed to get some good runs in every possible way. The replacement of three new bowlers in this ODI is an additional pro to the rivals. And, every one of the new bowlers literally gave away six runs more than what they should have done, left Australians at staggering 334 total in 50 overs.

The hosts started the chase extremely well with Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma put up a fantastic opening stand. Rahane looked in great touch and so did Rohit. Both of them brought up their fifties as they put up a century run stand. India was looking in control just when Rahane perished for a score of 53 and that brought an end to their 106-run stand.

Virat Kohli came in and looked in good touch. The Indian captain and Sharma were hitting the right tones when something happened which is not new to the Indian fans. While everything is on one side, people, however, saw the same scene that took place between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Both are very good runners individually between the wickets but when it comes to understanding between these two, it looks like it is the most important factor certainly doesn’t exist between the two. Kohli punched a short delivery towards backward point. Smith’s exquisite fielding did not help the cause as Kohli after running a few meters changed directions leaving his partner stranded.

Rohit did not see the ball and trusted Kohli with his call but the Indian captain pulled back and returned to his crease. Without any other option, Rohit had to run back to the non-strikers end where it was too late to him to make it before the Australians took the bails off.

This is not the first time the duo did this. It is the 5th time where Virat and Rohit involved in such similar incident which cost them a run-out. Kohli was out 3 times and Rohit got out twice. Even in T20Is, it has happened twice with the pair getting out once each. This mishap has sent Twitter into a meltdown as India lost a set batter.

Twitter Reactions:

Hope the two batsmen work on this and never repeat it again.
