In the ongoing series between India and South Africa, team India’s performance is very poor and Dhoni gang have been giving poor performance since the first match. Everybody are concerned about the team’s consistency in further matches. Especially Virat Kohli’s batting has been degrading day by day. Kohli’s performance in batting was poor, he didn’t score big in any match in this series.
As Virat Kohli is the one down batsman, he have to stay consistent for few overs and score runs. But Kohli’s strategy is being failed since few matches. If he gets dismissed soon, the pressure has to be carried by the rest of the batting lineup which would be unpredictable. Though Kohli has been dismissed soon in the 2nd ODI vs South Africa, Captain Dhoni had scored brilliant 92 which made India celebrate the win.
Dhoni’s batting had thrilled each and every critic who blamed him for the earlier loss. The series has seen excellent performances by the likes of Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, and MS Dhoni. The thing is that whenever a batsman gets out, there is a lot more pressure to the next batsman to score runs under pressure. Amit Banerjee writes about how Virat Kohli needs to find his form fast for India.
The series named as ‘Gandhi-Mandela’ Trophy, has not been a very good one for the hosts. India lost the three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series 2-0 and the first ODI too. Team India managed to give their fans a much-awaited moment of celebration with a stunning victory in the 2nd ODI. Coming to Virat Kohli’s performances in the limited-overs formats have been ruined.
All thinking that Kohli being as a Test Captain and in future India’s captain for all three formats once Dhoni retires, but his performance being failed in last matches are disappointing the cricket fans. Kohli’s bad form made him get down from the top position in the ICC rankings. His ODI form is being questioned by everyone whether he can manage to gain the form or remain stable.
Let us hope, Virat Kohli would come back with stunning form and score more runs in upcoming matches.
