Virender Sehwag Birthday Wishes To Sourav Ganguly, Calls Him As God Of Offside

Former Indian Captain Sourav Ganguly (Dada) turned 45 today. Ganguly, who had made a memorable Test debut with a century at Lord’s in 1996, went on to claim 11 wins from 28 away Tests, a record by any Indian captain. In the course of an illustrious career, he amassed 7213 runs in 113 Tests and 11,363 runs from 311 ODIs.

Ganguly also led India to the finals of ICC Champions Trophy in 2001 (Sri Lanka), ICC Cricket World Cup 2003 in South Africa, and won the famous NatWest series against England after which he celebrated by taking off his shirt at the Lord’s balcony.

While Ganguly Celebrating his birthday today all the former teammates took Twitter to wish the former Indian captain. He also tweeted stating Ganguly as the God of offside which is a nickname Dada earned during his playing days for his ability to dispatch anything on the off to the boundary. Viru added a picture of himself in the commentary box alongside Dada and stated that “Pro Tip-While with Dada, best to be on his leg side.On the offside, ball or human it’s a boundary. In this pic, Bat is on his left.”
