Windows has been leading the OS market, since the evolution of modern day computers. Despite the gradual significance Android attained, Windows has always been leading when statistics were concerned. Though most of the mobiles and tabs were operated based on Android OS, it is always Windows that is in lead.
But, surprisingly, for the first time ever in the history, Android somehow managed to beat Google’s Windows to become the Internet’s most used Operating System.
According to the latest reports given by the prominent web analytics firm StatCounter, on Monday it is found “milestone in technology history and end of an era”.
In accordance, StatCounter found, Android grabbed a 37.93 percent share of the worldwide OS internet market which barely overtook the Microsoft Windows’ 37.91 percent share for the first time, in March.
And the trend lines in the chart below shows that there is a steady march down from 82 percent in 2012 for Windows, and retrospectively upward for Android from 2.2 percent in the same five-year tenure.
