Mozilla Firefox 42 Now Adds New Private Browsing Mode that Also Kills Ads

Mozilla seems to enhance the user experience by bringing new features on its Firefox web browser. Mozilla has recently released the latest version of its browser namely Firefox 42 which comes with new web security controls and a private browsing feature. It also brings a new built-in ad-blocking feature. Mozilla has brought this new version Firefox 42 before a couple of days with an amazing feature that the engineers of Mozilla are much enthusiastic is the Private Browsing with Tracking Protection.

The new key feature is tracking protection which is necessary for private browsing. Mozilla has introduced this new tracking protection on its Firefox 42 version that fundamentally averts third parties from tracking and monitoring your web browsing habits, thereby impeding them from following your online behaviour which lead to spam and needless targeted ads. The new version of Mozilla Firefox comes with new features that prevents unnecessary ads. With this new ad blocking feature, it prevents large chunks of advertising coming your way.

Private Browsing Mode & Ad-Blocking Feature

The new context of Firefox 42 brings the ability to restrict a user’s online activity to be tracked that eventually offers more anonymous browsing experience. Users will be no more targeted with annoying ads as the new version brings ad-blocking feature. The sites and services that will be targeted by this feature include Facebook, Google and many other Web services that actively deploy user tracking systems.

“With the release of Tracking Protection in Firefox Private Browsing we are leading the industry by giving you control over the data that third parties receive from you online. No other browser’s Private Browsing mode protects you the way Firefox does—not Chrome, not Safari, not Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer,” said Nick Nguyen from Firefox on the Mozilla Blog.

The new version of Firefox 42 brings more useful features in order to enhance the browsing experience of the user in a faster and nimbler way. Private browsing with tracking protection helps users in many ways that include:

  • Blocks content on the web page such as ads, analytics trackers and social share buttons which may record your online behaviour without your knowledge.
  • Once you visit the Mozilla Firefox browser, you can see a lot of features with a New Private Windows that turns ON tracking protection of your browser.
  • Firefox 42 will also have a new Control centre which contains site security and privacy controls in one place on the address bar.

  • Firefox 42 also provides you the option to Turn Off Tracking Protection in case some pages show broken links for blocked content.
  • The other new features include tabs with indicators which are playing audio within that page, a new login manager and WebRTC support.
  • The updated version also has additional features like scrollable tabs, support for voice input and family friendly browsing for Android tablets.
  • You can also open external URLs from Android apps in the background.

The company ensures that the blocking trackers on the browser will also enhance web page loading times. In the Firefox Developer Edition and the Animation tools, Firefox has included visual editing through which animators can make the best use of these tools.
