What Happens To Your JIO Sim If You Don’t Opt For JIO’s Prime Membership?

People know it very well, how Reliance Jio made its grand entry into the country’s market. Kicking aside the stereotypic Internet offers, call cutters and other recharge benefits of all the Mobile network companies, within no time, this telecom firm occupied the large parts of domestic businesses. Though Jio made some considerable efforts in attaining the smartphone business, it was not so much successful in that case.

Now, how about the Jio users those who didn’t upgrade their sim cards, take Prime Membership?

How much do they have to pay? what are the offers available for them?

Such questions already started storming the Internet. And here’s everything you need to know:

Meanwhile, there are 10 tariff plans that have been announced for Jio prepaid subscribers and three for postpaid, which will have to be availed after the free services end at the end of this month, either for both prime and non-prime members.

Breaking down the details, the cheapest plan starts at Rs.19 providing 100MB data with a single day of validity and the most expensive plan is Rs 9999 providing 200GB data along with 30 days of validity for non-Prime members.

This idea of free Internet and calls has deeply routed in for the people and the sudden criteria of membership are something that annoyed them. According to the sources, the statistics claim the number of users who registered for the Prime Membership is far lower than what is expected.

And the statement from JIO clearly mentioned:

“Non-prime users who do not recharge from one of the Jio tariff plans before April 1, 2017, will face a termination of services.”

Prime Membership is something that is recommendable because, even if you stop using Jio sim after a certain period of time, all you lose is Rs.99, which is quite negligible. And as per the current scenario, you get a lot of benefits over non-Prime members as can be seen in the above tariff table.

Despite this, your Jio sim will still be valid for a stipulated period of time after the free promotional offer ends, even if you’re not a Prime member, but the outgoing service will terminate immediately until you recharge.
