Within no time, this telecom firm occupied the large parts of domestic businesses. Though Jio made some considerable efforts in attaining the smartphone business, it was not so much successful in that case.

In the beginning, Jio provided 3 months of free internet and phone calls to the users from September till January, surprising the whole country the offer was extended to three more months.

Now the official sources from JIO claimed that the free Internet and Calling offers were extended to 15 more days. Now, one can upgrade their existing sim cards tp Prime Membership by April 15th.

Further offers include: Unlimited Internet and Free Calling for three more months at Rs 303.

According to the sources from Reliance, it is assumed that over 72 million Jio customers have signed up for Jio Prime membership.

The Chairman of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani said in a statement:

“Customers who could not enroll for Jio Prime by March 31 can still do so by paying Rs 99 along with their first purchase of Jio’s Rs 303 and other plans till 15th April.”

He then added: “This extension will provide the necessary breathing room for users to avoid service disruption during the transition from free to paid services.”

Ambani later said that this is one of the very few surprises lined up in his process of building JIO and many more are ahead.

“This complimentary period will also help to familiarize Jio customers with Jio’s fully digital, self-service process of using the MyJio app to perform recharges and to set up digital payment methods for further purchases,” Ambani concluded.
